Hands-on Session Program
12 participants will be divided into two groups of 6; one group will work on the confocal microscope and the other on image processing software.
The groups will switch on the second day of the hands-on session.
Confocal microscopy: principles of operation, features of the Leica SP8 instrument, work with fixed specimens, work with live specimens, three-dimensional imaging, FLIM, microspectrofluorimetry.
Image processing: overview and introduction to Fiji and Huygens image processing platforms, work with sample images.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own specimens and images acquired by fluorescence microscopy.
